Vietnamese cuisine, culture introduced at South Africa Diplomatic Fun Fair 2022

Accordingly, the Vietnamese Embassy brought to the event ‘ao dai’ (Vietnamese traditional gown) and conical hats, as well as photos featuring the beauty of Vietnamese land and people, and typical handicraft products.

Visitors to the Vietnamese stall were offered a chance to enjoy and learn how to cook spring rolls and fried spring rolls, and drink Vietnamese coffee.

First held in 2006, the annual fair brings together foreign diplomatic missions in South Africa. After a 2-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2022 fair was attended by 60 diplomatic missions and international organisations, including UN agencies.

Tourism in Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) has returned to pre-pandemic levels, with international visitors accounting for more than 70% of the total. The tourism industry has generated revenue of VND 4,538.6 billion (over US $180 million), an increase of 9.64% compared to the same period in 2022. Vice Chairman of Hoi An city People’s Committee, Nguyen Van Lanh, believes that the removal of entry and exit barriers for international visitors has contributed to this success. Vietnam’s My Khe ranks among Asia’s 10 best beaches

It is the only beach in Vietnam to be named in the list. My Khe Beach, nestled in Phuoc My Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang City, is around two kilometers from the city center. The beach, which is about 900 meters long, is among the busiest in Da Nang, Nhan Dan (People) newspaper reported.
